Born and raised on the small of island of Malta, Denise soon discovered her love for travel. Leaving the island at age 19, she built a geographic and emotional portfolio so rich, it inspired her debut novel - Hearts on the Road.
Her love for words and writing bloomed with her existential crisis of turning 30. She wanted to do more of what she loved not only during her free time but also for a living.
That's when she dug her nails into all she could learn and started her career as an Indie Author.
Being an Indie author has nothing to do with India or being a hippie.
Indie stands for Independent Author.
It means I write the books, but also fight for days with a screen to get the right book format, commission my book covers and also market the books once they're out."

We meet her as she's flying back to the Spanish island of Menorca. While settling into her new home by the sea, she hears a young man playing the guitar outside. Is it time for love to come back into her life? But what if it drags her down into the depths of despair again?
